Requesting you to please elaborate on the question and explain the issue that you are experiencing with the Garmin StreetPilot c340 GPS Receiver.

Important note about maps: Due to our high volume of sales, every Garmin portable GPS navigator sold by Amazon.com will come with the most recent map version. The current map provides data through April 1, 2007. If you purchased a Garmin GPS before April 1, 2007, you can purchase a map update on SD card. We will notify customers who purchase from Amazon.com via e-mail whenever new map updates become available.

Garmin allows you one free update for your maps as long as you do it within 60 days of your day of purchase. You have to download it with your computer and then use the USB cable that should have come with your receiver to transfer the update to your GPS. After the initial free update the charge is $100.00 per year or $200.00 for lifetime updates.

My experience is that in the US & EU, Garmin encourages online purchases. If in Dubai, ask for availability by part number and walk into the store & purchase

There are no free map updates for the StreetPilot Series.

The newer models do come with a free update that must be downloaded within 60 days of purchasing the system.

There are utilities for adding POI (Points of Interest) as well as Browser plugins that can be used to add Favourite Locations from Google maps. these updates are available from the garmin website.

Go to "www8.garmin.com/support/download.jps" and locate the right manual. They are good and thorough.
