After loading and patching canon multipass f50 drivers, speakers died

After loading and then subsequently patching the drivers for a canon multipass f50 on my HP ZE5200 (model 5270) running XP Pro SP 2, my speakers died. I reinstalled codecs (sp?) and now the left speaker works, but not the right.
Other than deinstalling and then letting Windows find and reinstall all sound drivers (I am leary of this), do you have any ideas?

    Hi Dr Nitin,

The balance bar is set center for all options, however for PC Speaker it is greyed out - as if the utility had determined I have only one speaker and thus it disabled the balance.
Any ideas? Both speakers worked beautifully before.

Check your Sound Setting in Control Pannel>Sounds. Balance bar should be in Center, neither Right nor Left.

HI , I purchased a Dell Mini (11.6) M-101z laptop.Since everything is preinstalled....evrything is working fine, except Speaker. It happened i n the showroom itself. The shopowner asked me to take it back...

Since the shop owner tested it with an external speakers and they are working fine, that means that there's a problem with the internal speakers. You might need to have it replaced. If the external speakers were not working then it could just be a driver problem. But since the external speakers work fine then we can assume that the internal speakers are bad.

Hi I've bought myself a new computer but can not get sound out of tv. When I'm in the real tek software i can only choose analog output. What can I do? Acer aspire 7551g. I use hdmi cabel

Here are two suggestions:
The simplest method
1. turn off tv and laptop
2. hook up hdmi cable from laptop and then to hdtv
3. turn on laptop and once the laptop has booted fully,
4. turn on tv and select the source....
If the above doesn't work, then try
1. hdmi cable is connected from laptop to hdtv
2. on the laptop go to Control Panel
3. select sounds
4. change default from speakers to hdmi

I have a sound problem the speakers of aspire 57322 are not found

Hi, you haven't said what operating system you are using, but it sounds like a driver problem. Try the Realtrek AC'97 sound driver, its free to down load from a google search.

Powerpoint 2007 get sound from one monitor to another

Some monitors have speakers built-in, some don't. The sound never travels through the 15pin d-type VGA connector. If the monitor has sound, there will be a small 1/8 inch stereo jack in the back or bottom of the monitor. Most all laptops have a headphone output jack (again 1/8 inch stereo) which is perfect for patching to external amplified speakers or to a monitor with speakers built-in. This patch cable can be purchased at Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc etc.

Inspiron 6000 sound

Don't worry. It could be that the sound drivers are not instaled. Simply download the drivers from by entering the service tag. The sound should be back. The battery has nothing to do with sound. From the same website, install the BIOS update. That shoule get the battery message go away. Incase that does not happen, then you may have to buy a battery. The batteries have 1 year of warranty from the date of invoice.

I work in DELL, so please try what I ahve mentioned and you should be happy!!! If not, post a message.
