Installing a car stereo

I bought a kit and wires and connected them from my nissan altima 93' to my Durabrand bd1215 stereo but the sound does not work. Since nissan has 16 cables I ignored the cable to turn on the amplifier and ground(orange). What should I do

All you need to get the radi running is the constant +12 volt for the memory and the other +12 volt ( ignition ) and the ground hooked up for the radio to power on, and of coarse the 4 speakers , the other wires you simply tape off and insulate them so they dont cause problems.

if the radio doesnt power on after you have the power wires hooked up and key on , you got a busted car stereo

Hope this info helps

Which wire is the factory Acc-ING and which is B+ 2005 nissan Alt

Sounds like you're hooking up an aftermarket stereo. The B+ is for a battery constant-on connection. you can find one with a voltage probe tool (looks like a pointed screw driver with a grounding wire attached... and a light bulb in the hande. You can probe for a b+ connection by connecting the ground clip to a solid grounding point and probe for a wire that is "hot" while the key is off. For the acc wire, find a wire with the key on that is hot, but goes off when the key goes off. There are several posibilities and any will work, as long as your lines to the stereo have a fuse.. Happy probing. k

Replace 2005 Nissan altima stereo receiver

Try radio shack, or stereo sales/installation place for ready to go plug adapter. For a few bucks, it saves headaches, and butchering the wiring in case you want to re-install old one later when trading in or selling the car.
