If you are talking about a password to enter the bios ,take the battery out of the motherboard for 10 minutes then replace it and you should be able to go in,there may also be a jumper on the board to clear the cmos (bios) do that if you see it.

Restart the laptop and try logging back in using the new password.
Log on without the Windows XP installer. If you don't have a Windows bootable CD, use another computer with internet access so you can create an emergency recovery disk (ERD) that will allow you to unlock a Toshiba laptop. Browse through the internet and search for ERD software.
Burn the ERD program into the blank CD and use it to reboot the Toshiba laptop that you want to unlock. The computer will automatically detect the program, so it will take you to a series of prompts where you can change your password.
