CS Code

Inspect foil side of HV board for burned tracks toward lower side of board. If burned, check HV capacitors (High Voltage Capacitor Test Procedure) and HV transformers (High Voltage Transformer Test) for a short. Otherwise test other components as outlined above.
Solution: Replace defective components as necessary. If applicable, repair foil trace on HV board.
Hope that helps.........

Visio e421va have stdby and power on light

This is going to be one of several problems. Very first think to check is fuses and capacitors. Then I would start with the power board. Check your voltages on the in and output side. If they are all good I would go to the logic board. That is the small board and pretty inexpensive. From there you have to go to the TConn, but I don't think that is it. The next step is the X and Y board. It is most likely going to be the Xboard. If you are not getting audio or video then you can unplug the logic board where it connects to the main board. If you get the sound upon turning it on with it unplugged then your logic board is one of the things that went bad. Most cases you will have to upgrade the firmware with your new boards.

My E472VL Visio TV has no picture. The back light comes on. However I must unplug it to turn it off. I am wondering if it is the Power Board or the Main control Aboard that is faulty.

Hi Scott,
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
If your TV, flatscreen, or monitor is more than 5 years old it is more like to have suffered a component failure.
Take it to a repair shop.

One half of the lcd tv loads fine, picture is perfect. The other half of the tv screen appears to struggle to warm up and appears much darker. In fact the image lingers when one program ends and another...

How old is your LCD TV?
From your description of the problem. It appears to be a moisture related. As the TV is ok after a while.

Power off your TV before carrying out next steps.

I would check the wiring connections first and see all connections are good. Also vacuum clean of dust using a brush is recommended.

Secondly would use a hair dryer to blow hot air into to TV unit via the exhaust vent. Just ensure that power is not switched on.
on your TV when you use the hair dryer.

i would also suspect a possible bad joint of a component on the mother board. A visual inspection is required to see the motherboard.

Also a component failure is a suspect due to aging..

You need to evaluate if it worth repairing the TV. Repair cost can be prohibitively high.

hope that helps. good luck.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

I have a quinton club track treadmill that posts an E203 error

E203 = Motor unable to run. Usually caused by the VSD Lower Board. This board is about 14" square on a Quinton Clubtrack Hyperdrive 3.0

Rather difficult to remove escpecially if your not familair with electronical compnents in a tight space.

My reapir coast $374 from J&R Technical Services and exactly one year later I got the exact same code. Warranty is 90 days.

It appears they rebuilt one of the components on the board called a Phase Modulator. There are three of them. They stated they had replaced it, but upon close inspection it appears that simply replaced the bad micro-component on the modulator and reinstalled the exact same phase again.

I'm debating whether to trust them once again. Little choice though since they control the market and have the equipment to reset the board upon repair. Nobody at thome has this equipment.

Visio 42" 1080p wont power up

Sounds like the power supply section in your tv has a bad component. Probably a bad capacitor or a surface mounted diode. One thing is for sure: something has shorted and is causing your power supply section to not fire up. Suprising to me because Visio has a good track record.
