Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.



if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....



If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

It wont advance because the heater isnt functioning.
Check to see element reading then temp. thermoststs normally found on heater body.

Dryer does not get hot.

On the backside of the dryer is the heating element.2dc69bd.jpgeither the element or one of these klixons mounted on the side are open.The heater is held on by 2 screws and very easy to remove.

MY DRYER RUNS BUT HAS ON HEAT

check the element for a break, if broken replace it. if not check the thermostats on the heater housing, they may need to be replaced. hope this helps.

Roper brand electric dryer, runs but not heat.

Must be the heating element. Remove the rear dust cover and check the heater for continuity. NOTE: if the heater is good then the small fuse mounted above the heater chamber is blown. Look for a blocked vent if this is the case. Reset the small limit by smacking it on a hard surface till you can get a replacement part. If your heater element is open get a metal **** connector to crimp it back till you can get a replacement part. It is saturday dude, you gotta improvise or get a rope and hang them clothes outside. Hay the dryer still runs so you can fluff them sun dryed beautys up. LOL G'day mate! Good Luck!

I have a Roper dryer machine, and it does not heat.

With an ohm meter check continuity of the thermal fuse mounted at the top of the heater box, If that is ok check the heating element

Dryer doesn't heat up

you need to check and see if you have 220volts to the dryer if so check the thermostats on the side of the heater casing.good luck
