SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

HI, Bought tomtom go 710 from a charity sight on

It may be likely that the "registration" matter is related to the map ... and not the GPS device ... that one can register (as the owner) when the device is purchased new ... to get and load the latest map.
If this assumption is correct, your device would start up but not even get to the "driving screen" ... because there's no (valid) map.
You can first try to register the GPS device (on tomtom.com) against your name, etc., and opt to purchase a map (of your choice). With this purchase, you will download the map (software and data), and an activation code to validate the map. After that you should be able to use the GPS device (for that purchased map).
If you'd like additional instructions/options, let me know how I can reach you by email.

Hi I have bought a car with the Parrot hands free. I was able to erase the memory but now asks me to' please pair device'. I do not have instructions to do this. Are you able to please help me pair my...

There are parrot hands free manuals available at http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/userguides/#CK3100

The 3300 is not there but pairing seems to be pretty standard on all the parrot hands free kits. I'd try the CK3100 as it appears to be a very similar kit.

Hi my garmin san nav NUVI is saying that there is no satellite connection, what would be the problem please

Good day,

The GPS needs a clear line of sight to the sky to function properly.
It might still work if you are near a window, but usually it will not connect to a satellite if you are indoors.

When outdoors, power on the GPS and give it 2-5mins to start up and locate available satellites.

If the problem is still present when you are outside it might be that the receiver is faulty.
This will mean that, if still under warranty, you can take it back to the place of purchase to repair or replace, otherwise you would have to send it in by yourself for repairs.

Let me know if this was helpful!

Regards

My Garmin is telling me to get map updates. I do not know how to do this. I have gone to the web sight and there is so many sales places that I don't know witch one to use. Can you help me to do this?...

You can purchase map updates on CD at your local GPS retailer. If you do not want to do this, go to www.garmin.com. Go to the tab at the top of the site that says "Products". It will drop a menu. Click on, "On the Road". On the next page, click, "Automotive." Since the Nuvi 250W is discontinued, click that on the left side of the page. Then scroll to the Nuvi 250W and click it. Click the "Map" tab and then click on "View map updates for this product." Then click on the appropriate update.

Waiting for a valid gps signal

Not sure if this will help you or not. GPS needs a clear line of sight, tall buildings, bad spot in your car or on your dash, weather conditions and pink elephants all will interfere with the GPS signal. Keep the unit low and as far forward as you can so that it has the best chance for signal. Best position i have found is 3-4 inches above the heater vents on the dash and directly in front of you since this is the spot that is generally unobstructed by anything.
One final thing, sometimes you have to shut them down start driving then turn it on, they do sometimes lock themselves up and out of things. Don't know how or why but it does happen. See pink elephants for better results.
Hope this helps

I`d like to use the mp3 on my GPS but don`t know how to put music or pics on

You need a standard SD digital memory card (not the newer HC high capacity cards as Magellan does not guarantee compatibility although I did get one to work that was a micro SD card with the full SD adapter). You will need to put your mp3 music files from your PC onto the SD card just as you would your mp3 player; insert the SD card into an SD slot on your computer, laptop or USB adapter and copy the files to the card. After files are saved, put the card into the slot on the right side of the Maestro and then refer to the User Manual (http://www.magellangps.com/support/product.asp) page 64 to see how to play the music. You can play through radio speakers or by using headphones/ear buds with a USB connector.

Loosing signal

I'm afraid it happens (particularly in towns and cities) The GPS needs clear line of sight to at least 3 satellites. On cloudy days it can reduce the signal. An External aerial might help in a car (particularly with tinted glass)

Will not let me listen to music stored on sd card

Hi, how dit you format the SD card. It should be formatted as Fat32 before you store music on it. If the card does not showup in the browser there is an issue with the format. In some instances the card could be incompatible with the zumo. So format it first (Fat32), copy some mp3 files to it (id use 128 kbps mp3's to start off with) plug it in and see what happens. If nothing, try a different brand/size card. I use 4GB SDHC card made bij sandisk without issues.
