Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
Its most likely that your cooling fan has died. Try this: First take it apart. then loosen the screws holding the fan in place and take it out it should have a connector that is taped to the frame of the console. check to see if the fan case is bent if so just gently pry it back away from the blades. if not it may be burnt up. go on ebay and search for"PS2 cooling fan" and find one that looks like yours and just pop in the new one and you should no longer have a buzzing noise or an overheating problem.
