Question about Minolta EP4000/5000 CS/PRO Copier
I need to repl the iu in our copier. the service guy says they aren't making parts anymore. but, the machine is in excellent shape and works great. i'm sure someone somewhere has one or some company reconditions them, but i'm not having much luck. any ideas?
Ask you service guy if he can or knows how to rebiuld your IU / drum unit. You can still get parts for that copier you probly need a new OPC drum and cleaning blade and a developer change. I belive they should last for 80k copies more or less. Are you getting black lines and bad copy quility? If not you may just have the PM / IU light ON or it is asking for a PM? It is just a counter in the copier that say's it time to replace the PM parts. They may have been replaced , but the counter was not reset. On a final note, this is one model in a long line of the same machines with alot of the same parts. I don't think it is hard to find these parts. You can buy them on line.. Under copier part....
Order the parts your self and save money and have them install them... Good Luck
