The internal power supply looks like is overheating and failing causing to blink, you could get someody that's handy with voltimeter and check resistance and continuiti on the power supply board
it has to be done by a experienced person due that you are playing with electricity

The tv goes off but there is audio.

If you have sound the inverter board has failed,or one of the ccl lamps has died .when you switch on the powersupply sends power but on receiving a fault condition from either of the two faults above will shut down power to the inverter board.

Moved TV to a different room and the TV power button is blinking like it is in "standby" mode. How do I get it off "standby" mode??????

unplug it for about 30 mins it will reset it. if that doesnt work it will be stuck in standby mode until a video source is activated. if you are using hdmi both the tv and the hdmi device must be on. (hdcp compliant devices must be turned on at the same time otherwise it will say stuck in stand by mode they do this to prevent people from trying to rip content off hdmi and blu rays had the same issue with my tv and xbox.

TV turns off and on when hot

Check both the fan and the air entry area and make sure that both are free from dust and debris. The fan may be tuning too slowly to properly move air around. A quick vacuum of the area should help.

If that fils to correct the problem, please update this and we'll start looking at potential parts failures.

Thanks,
Dan

Keeps turning off

FIRST all projection TV's have bulbs.
Some have filters either on the bulb cage or on the outside of tv or both. When the bulb gets too hot it will protect itself by shutting off - clean and make sure they have good airflow.

Unless your D/s buddy has infared power not heard of - it's probably not him.

Projection TV when turned on picture is dark can view slight images until dinning room light is turned on

Try hooking the TV to a different outlet fed by a different breaker. Does the problem go away? If so, the culprit may be a wiring problem in your house that is causing the TV not to get enough power unless the dining room light is on.If in doubt, consult an electrician to make sure both the dining room light and TV outlet circuits are working properly.
