As an addition to the response by Ian Greenland, you may like to refer to an article in the Fixya 'Tips and How-tos' section which may give additional info as to how to evaluate the issues at hand for repairing the leaking seals, which I would perceive as the major issue.

I would doubt that would find that the brake pads are difficult to replace, and would thus regard them as a secondary issue.

I have a kleenmaid washing machine its about 30 yrs old and still runs well but it is now leaking oil from under the adjitator how do i fix it.

Sounds like the seal for the transmission is leaking oil through the seal. You will need to remove the tub or turn the machine upside down to remove the transmission and replace the seal. That is if the seal is still made.

The pressure washer leaks from inside casing letting out water/soap might be affecting pressure of hose?

If your part of the country reaches freezing temperatures during winter, the pump probably froze. This can cause cracks to brass and (especially) aluminum pump heads. It is worth opening up the case; sometimes I find loose fittings (caused by freezing) which can be tightened up and everything is fine. If it is not freeze damage, the check valve may have gone out on the soap injector, causing pressure to back flow through the inlet barb. Otherwise, you may have a worn/leaking pump seal.

This is a consumer (throw-away) pressure washer. If it's not a loose fitting which can be tightened, the unit is probably not worth fixing.

Hi Anonymous, popping is usually caused by air getting sucked in combustion chamber do bad intake seals leaking. Leaking exhaust gaskets can also be suspect. Remove air cleaner and backing plate, while engine is idling spray WD-40 or Brake Kleen around intake manifold to head area, if RPM's increase you have an intake leak and seals need to be replaced, also spark plugs will be burning whiter than normal. Good luck

Drum is leaking in our Frigidaire GLTF1670ASo Washing Machine. Is it worth fixing a 9 year old washer with this problem, I am thinking of buying a new washer. Please advise.

With nine years your machine reached an age that I consider close to end-of-life. Frigidaire / Electrolux boasts 25 years of warranty to some parts, but don't count on it. They'll enforce handling by an authorized service partner, upfront payment of several hundred dollars and eventually refuse refund due to too hard water in your area or they'll blame you of using unsuited detergents, all after two months of processing.

Leaking drums for these machines are quite common as they put together unsuited metals, in this case an aluminum extrusion spider in the back of the inner drum and steel parts elsewhere. Corrosion and leaking is pre-programmed.

Main seal has gone bad and needs to be replaced. It might be worth it to you unless you are a mechanical person that you either have a company repair this part or replace the washing machine. The part is fairly cheap but the job is somewhat difficult. You can order the part at repairclinic.com

Is an old unit worth fixing?

I recommend going with a new one. Both the coleman and the carrier are excellent and a whole lot more efficient that the 16 year old dometic.

I have a front loading frigidaire washer gallery 1670 series

I would say yes, its worth keeping. Mine leaked a while ago and I bought a new pump assembly. I think it was about $70. You can remove the two screws on the bottom of the bottom face plate and remove the cover. The pump is on the right side. Look for goo leaking out of the shaft seal. Verify before you buy parts, It could be the rubber boot torn or something similar.
Don't reach inside untill its unplugged.
You can replace the shocks easily too. Lots of parts places online with illustrated parts catalogs.

Price is right. Repair time is right for an inexperienced repairman. Worth it ? If you watch what you are doing and not rush then, yes, it's worth it.
