Is there a conversion kit for magic chef CPR1100ADW

Yes, there is an LP conversion kit for the CPR1100ADW. Sears Parts Direct lists it here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/cpr1100adw/1429/0124002.html . Select the Gas Control drawing. The direct link to the LP orifice kit, part number 74009923, is http://www.searspartsdirect.com/part-number/74009923/0022/464.html?modelNumber=CPR1100ADW&categoryName=Free%20Standing,%20Gas&brandName=MAGIC%20CHEF . Note: the Magic Chef range uses the same parts as a Whirlpool or Maytag range.

The gas regulator also has to be adjusted. Most ranges with converter kits available just require the regulator to be removed and turned 180 degrees before replacing it. It's recommended that a LP service person do the work. The air flow may need to be adjusted and any mistakes could be dangerous.

I hope this helps.

My oven does not hold the temperature or sometimes it shoots up to 400 degrees when set for 350 degrees. can it be fixed or do I need a new range?

Hi.

It can be fixed.

The part that is most commonly causing the problem is the temperature sensor.

When the problem is the temperature probe, both baking and broiling functions are affected.

Hello. Contact your propane provider and they will get you the conversion kit for your maytag model. In fact, they will send a technician to your home for free to make the conversion for you.
If you want to do it yourself go to any appliance store that handles maytag and get the conversion kit. Then remove the orifices that are currently in the stove and replace them. Regards, Joe

Tappan Range Model TGF351ESJ Nat. Gas to Propane

Yes you can convert the range

2. Provide an adequate gas supply.
This unit is pre-set to operate on 4" natural gas manifold
pressure. Aconvertible pressure regulator is connected to the
manifold and MUST be connected inseries with the gas supply
line. If the LP/Propane conversion kit has been used, follow
instructions provided with the kit for converting the pressure
regulator to LP/Propane use. The LP kit can be found on the
back side of the range (some models).

I yours does not have the kit on back go to sears to get one.
