i bought a new PC133 256MB SDRAM memory for my panasonic CF-G1, why is it that it can only see 128MB and not 256MB?

I fear you have been incorrectly advised on memory; your unit reportedly supports only 192 MB and then of a specific type.

Especially when you are not very familiar with the different types of memory, thorough research is mandatory - I speak from (bad) experience!
