Question about GPS
U6 is what I think it's called. those cases weren't exactly built around the insides.. (the circuit board).. there's a small IC chip on the backside of that same card with the cradle connect. . more then likely your case has shoved off a tiny little black IC chip. if you open the case and you see a little black peice.. save it. you might have to take apart your unit though. . careful when your opening it as the RF cable will be a hazard as soon as you crack the case.. so open the case just a little bit.. then find that cable I'm talking about.. and just pull it off.. then you can open it without any further restrictions.. If: this small IC chip is the problem, then you either need to solder it back on yourself.. or have someone else do it. So.. if you open the case u pand this isn't the problem let me know.. don't put the unit back together yet. and let me know. _+Daniel

map file will not boot. push the RESET button with the bent end of a paperclip located on the right side of the unit next to the power supply input.

Just push the antenna firmly back into the base; it pivots on a coax connector.
This is typical when you drop it.
The antenna is removable.
