How should i do photo copy of legal size - Panasonic DP-8016P Copier

This is for a temporary, as needed solution: Press "Menu/Set" button. Select "General Setup". Scroll down and select "Paper Size", find and select "Legal" size. Press Menu/Set button again. Press "Stop/Exit" button.
Insert legal size paper to be copied on the feeder tray and put a legal size paper in the Manual slot. Hit "Print"
You need to do these same steps again to return the settings to Letter size again.

Press Copy until Reduce/Enlarge appears in the top line of the dis
The following options are available in the Reduce/Enlarge menu.
you will have three choices.
Reduce/Enlarge
Actual Size
Custom 100%
Full Page 91%
Legal > Ltr 72%
Also:
Use Photo Fit to Page when you want to automatically enlarge your original
photo to fill the printable area of the paper size loaded in the paper tray.
Photo Fit to Page only enlarges original photos that are standard photo sizes. The
standard photo sizes are as follows:
• 3.5 by 5 inches (9 by 13 cm)
• 4 by 6 inches (10 by 15 cm)
• 5 by 7 inches (13 by 18 cm)
• 6 by 8 inches (15 by 20 cm)
• 8 by 10 inches (25 by 25 cm)
For originals containing text or photos that are not a standard size, use Reduce/
Enlarge.

1. Use the following guidelines to determine which setting to choose:
   • Copying an original to letter or A4 paper : Choose Fit to Page , or choose Full Page 91% to prevent unwanted cropping.
   • Copying a legal-size document to letter paper : Choose Legal > Ltr 72% .
   • Copying a photo to full-size paper : Choose Fill Entire Page .
   • Copying to a custom size : Choose Custom 100% , use the Up or Down arrow buttons ( ) to reduce or enlarge the size of the copy, and then press OK .
2. On the LCD screen, choose Copy from the options (use the arrow buttons) and press OK .
3. Press the Settings button (the button below the Home button) twice, to access the Copy Settings menu.
4. Select Size and press OK to access the copy size options.
5. In the Copy menu, use the arrow buttons to select the appropriate size settings. Press OK to continue.
6. Press Start Copy Color or Start Copy Black .

Your printer doesn't support Legal size to Scan and Copy, you can scan/copy it by reducing the size of the paper from the menu. 10% will fit since the actual paper size supported by your printer is 8.5X11.7inch while the legal size is 8.5X14inch. I have the same printer and you have to set the default paper size in the printer itself to legal.

Be sure to set Paper Size to LGL (14 inches long)/FLSP (13 inches long).
Additional Function > Common Settings > Reg Paper Size > Drawer 1 > Select right paper size

Take a photo with digital camera. I am doing this on newspaper articles from books at local Historical Society then cropping and other editing in my Serif Photo Plus 11 program.

You just stated the problem yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you using Letter or Legal?? then the tray need to be set to that particular size.

If using Legal set to Legal, otherwise the machine will automatically know you are using the wrong size.

In your printer settings as you hit print
select the printer setting prefferences
select paper size( change from letter to legal) and your problem is solved
When you copy through the software program from brother you can change this in there. Just redo the prefferences.

Does the copier print correctly when copying off the glass? I suspect that the document feeder has been set up to feed other paper sizes eg A4, A4R. Because of the conflict between sizes the copier adjust the image.
