I have a Toshiba DVD Video Player Model SD 260. I hav'nt been using it for about a year. Now when I put a video DVD and pressed 'Play', the Toshiba screen comes on the Samsung LCD TV screen with a message 'No Disc' and the video pictures do not come ON screen. What is the problem and how do I solve it? Thanks.

Hello, The problem could be dirt on the surface of the lens, you can clean this by removing the cover of the dvd player . Gently use a dry cotton bud to clean the lens because the lens is fragile. Insert the disc plate into the dvd player and press play, if it does not play try the second method. Ensure the cover of the player is open, connect the power plug to the mains socket and observe the lens if it beam a red light, Also check the ribbon cable use to connect the lens to the printed circuit board, then gently clean the lens with a dry cotton bud , insert the disc plate and press play to see if it play. If it does not play the disc, then this require a change of the lens
