Hi I cannot get the headphone set to work with the NEC Dterm 80 phone. Headphone model is Compucessory 55251. Thanks very much.

you need to program a headset key on the phone in memory block 4-12 for that extension. You can assign a line key as a headset key to make the headset port on your phone usable. ldtsnj.com

NEC Dterm 80 LCD display is defective, where do I get parts? How difficult is it to change?

The common thing on this style of phone is the silver ribbon cable that connects the display to the main circuit board comes loose after being dropped or knocked around and needs to be reinserted. You will need to open up the phone to do this. If this is not the solution then you will either need to purchase a used phone, send it in for repair or use another phone to take parts from.

Have NEC D term 80 phone without manual

The manual is here.

NEC doesn't call it the "Dterm 80 manual," but that's it. It's titled "Electra Elite IPK II Multiline Telephone User Guide."

The NEC phone system needs to have a radio attached to distribute the music to the phone sets.
It is not illegal to play the radio through a phone system (radio advertizements pay for it)
