Plus Copyboard BF-040SPP - New Printer problem

I'd like to replace my b/w printer (parallel port) with a new color printer (usb port) for my Plus Copyboard BF-040SPP. No manual can be found and I don't know whether it's even worthwhile attempting to find a parallel-USB adapter. Anyone with comments?
