I NEED APOWER CORD FOR DAEWOO L950

I can't find information online about your monitor, so I'll give you a generic answer for all monitors.

Almost all monitors use a C13 cord - the same kind used for a desktop computer. Some use a C7 (two-wire, like that used for some name brand laptop adapters) or a C5 (three-wire, used on other laptop adapters)
C13 image:

C5 image:

These images were lifted from the Mouser Electronics website (AC Power Cords Mouser ). They also carry C13 cords with right-angled plugs, which may be more convenient with some monitors.

There are a very few monitors that use an external power supply, which is like a laptop computer power adapter. If this is the case, the voltage and current requirements for the power supply should be on the label on the back of the monitor, and the only other thing you have match is the plug on the power adapter output cord (it needs to fit the power jack on the back of the monitor). Note: the voltage of the power supply must be the same as that shown on the label (usually 12 VDC) and the current rating must be the same or higher. If you don't see the voltage and current listed on the label, look closely at the power jack - the numbers may be molded into the plastic next to it.

It is rare to find a monitor with a permanently attached power cord. If this is the case with yours and it is damaged, do not attempt to splice it outside of the monitor. Put a replacement plug on if the good part of the cord is long enough, and use a good extension cord. Otherwise, you should open up the case and replace the entire cord. You will probably have to get a connector for the part of the power cord inside the monitor also. (If you are good with soldering, you may be able to splice to this connector, using heat-shrink tubing to insulate the connections.)

No power in my Daewoo Monitor

Hi, Youo have zeroed in on the problem area. It looks like a power supply problem. More often than not, there is a fuse inside. If you would venture to open the unit up, do a visual check on the fuse. If it is busted: 1. Clean - no burnt/scorching/black marks inside the glass tube, then you can simply replace and hopefully the unit will be operational; 2. Dark smudges - or small burnt metal pellets inside the glass tube, then it is possible that you have other defective components that caused the fuse to blow. Normal components that are known to go bad are the big capacitor and or the power transistor regulator. Most current designs uses a switch mode power supply where your mains AC voltage is converted to DC that powers a circuit that eventually produces a lower DC voltage say 12VDC for use of the monitor. Should you venture a DIY (do-it-yourself), pls remember safety precautions when working with powered electronics. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

Daewoo monitor

If you know a little bit about electronics, then you can find or buy a multimeter to check the output voltage of the AC/DC power adapter (if it uses one, sometimes the converter/adapter is inside the monitor). In order to get a voltage reading from center "hole" of the end of the power cord, use a paper clip (thicker paper clip if you have it). If the converter voltage is good, then this monitor might be a warranty return candidate. Hope it's only a power adapter problem (you can find a replacement on Ebay) ZT3000 "Beta tester of "0"s and "1's"
