My JVC AV-32020 32" turns itself off at random intervals. Sometimes right after you turn it on in the morning and other times after it's been on for awhile. There is no way to predict when it's going to turn itself off.
Once the TV shuts itself off, it must be unplugged for several minutes before it will turn back on. No matter how long the TV sits after it's shut itself off, it must always be unplugged before it will turn on again.
I've gone through the trouble of blowing the dust out of the TV just to see if that would help, but it seems to have had no effect.

Is this the actual model # AV-32F475?
If so, sounds like you have a shorted color filament within the picture tube. Could also be a video output going bad, causing intermittent shutdown when the CRT's beam current reached overload.
Just press the buttons on the TV randomly, sometimes this combination works in starting the TV w/o a remote. After that use the remote for the dish to flip channels, but you will have to set the sound manually from time to time.......sodeep
I have the JVC I Art 46" TV. The Close Caption was turn on accidentally by my grandson. After lots of searching for the original remote. I called JVC Customer Support. He told me to change the Close Caption settings to CC2 and T1. That fixed the CC without having the original remote.
