Hopfully you have a warranty on the cam...its done! the cost of repairs would exceed the value of the cam. or you could spend the big bucks and have geeksquad to run diagnostics to narrow down the issue. either way I would trash it and get a new one.

Hi,

You can try this trick out first and see if it helps you.
Gently tap it twice at the end of the camera to ur palm and it will work again.
just tap it very lightly against the bottom of the camera holding it upright.

If this doesn't work then try giving it two three hard banging with your hands or just try tapping the camera on the table once.

Be carefull don't bang it that hard it may damage the cam.
And if the steps which i told you don't work then you will have to get it repaired.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution

Konica Minolta DiMAGE 7i Digital Camera Problem

I just found a solution to my camera problem. It turned out to be the batteries. We purchases some Rechargable Duracel with a 2650mAh rating. After charging the batteries I put them in the camera and it started right up and was taking photos like when we first bought it. I have not been able to use the camera in almost 2 years and it turns out the problem was weak batteries.

So anyone that has a Minolta Dimage 7i and cant get it to turn on make sure you have at least 2650mAh rated rechargable batteries. The higher the mAh rating the better.

Hope this helps someone else. We are ecstatic that we can use our camera again. No more using my camera phone!!!

Konica-Minolta Dimage Z2 can't turn on

Well, I also bought the DiMAGE Z2, and my problem was similar: It worked for some time, but then it started freezing sometimes, not responding to any button I pressed. One time, it froze, shut off, and I wasn't able to power it up again. In short, the camera was still under its warranty, so I gave it to their lab and they fixed the problem.
