If its under warranty then you need not worry, you should contact the service centre, but before going there make all backup of your important documents..........

thanks

Restore to original settings

Save any files or folders on your Acer Aspire One with flash drives.
Drag and drop files onto the icon of your flash drive. Go to "Start" > "Restart" to reboot your netbook. Hold down "Alt" and "F10" when you see the Acer logo on the screen. The recovery menu will load. Hit "Enter" and then "Next" to see your recovery options. Choose "Factory Restore" to set your netbook back to factory settings. Follow the instructions on the screen. Choose your time zone and language when the customization menu appears. Reboot the netbook when you are prompted. Restore your saved files from the flash drive. Hoe this helps.

It will not load. toshiba screen comes on and goes blank afterwards. also it will not let me use the recovery disk

This could be many things - Battery - Try removing the battery and running off direct power - Bios - can you get to the BIOS screen, (often via the DEL key). Does XP start to load? (F8 will take you to safe mode) - Heat - it will do this if its over heating (possible fan issue) but typically this happens after been on for a while?

Toshiba flash cards not working ??

It means what it says. There have been mentioned problems of this. You can disable the flash cards (>Start Menu-->All >Programs-->Toshiba-->Utilities-->Settings for >Flash Cards-->Disable Flash Cards) but you then apparently lose the function keys (therefor cannot change the brightness.) First off though you should perhaps state the model of your laptop. If it is the Toshiba A10/700 then I believe there is a Value Added Pack for download on the Toshiba's Canadian website - but has problems. I have also heard of programs causing such problems, such as Photoshop CS2. Is this message appearing after hibernate? If so what programs do you leave running?

Wat is toshiba flash card

"FLASH" generally denotes a compact storage device called
Compact Flash Card. I have an old digital camera that takes compact flash cards.

Newer Toshiba Laptops and Towers have multi card readers installed, my laptop has a SD card reader under my PCMCIA card slot. I also had a (Made for Toshiba) compact flash adapter. That device was nice because it wasn't "Card Bus" it used 8-16 bit technology making it easy to transfer data from a laptop running windows 3.1 to a laptop running Vista
