Entering security code in radio of e320 mercedes

I recently had battery problem and my mechanic did not save security code. I out of curiosity just punched 5 numbers and got a code that says wait. It had previously flashed code. I have since acquired correct code however, cannot over ride "wait" entry on screen. Can you please help?

Your solution seemed illogical but did work. I had to see the service manager at the local dealership for another problem. He too gave me the same solution. I then came home and use the solution provide by you and the dealer ship. Results to get back to the system asking for code took less than 5 minutes. However, after entering the code provided by Mercedes the first number of the code began flashing and I proceeded to enter the solution recommended by FIXYA with no results. But I will rate the overall professionalism provided to me as NUMBER ONE. Thank You.

You must leave the key in the ignition switch for 1-2 hours in the on position with the radio on to reset. then you can reenter the correct code- if you tried to enter the wrong code 3 times the radio's antitheft system will have engaged and the only to reset it would be to go to a mercedes dealer to have them use their computer to reset the radio- there are no other options

I don't have a solution although, I do need to know the code for resetting my radio in a 95 Mercedes E320. Changed the alternator and battery out. There hasn't ever been a manual so I could use someone's help without having to pay for the code.

When your car battery is exchanged, your radio will become de-programmed. The way to resolve your problem is to raise the volume to midpoint, you should hear hissing coming from speakers. Then reset all your stations, and the clock.

Its inside your car manual on the left side as you open it up, it'll be a lil grey card that will have the radio code written on it... read the manual and it'll tell you how to put the numbers in.

Lost Car radio code after removal of battery head model ML320 1998 version. Serial Number Radio -103725 Label Number: MIC 408013 Reference Number: LP 29102 Made Bose

Real easy. Go to the MB dealership, proceed to the parts department give them the VIN of your car(I used my insurance card) ,they type in your VIN, few seconds... they hand you over a post-it w/ your code.

Go to your car punch in the code and make sure you press OK.

Your done ...radio works again.

P.S. I have a 1999 e320
