First remove the electronics from the rear - 3 screws at top.
Under the black plastic is 3 screws per ADF hinge - remove. Lift ADF up from the base.
On each side is a screw that may be hidden under a black piece - slide it down and take out screws.
Remove screw from front left side. Remove 3 screws from top near glass.
Remove control panel by levering forward and up - disconnect cable. Remove screw underneath.
Lift top section straight up and off.

Get assistance with the top section and electronics. Lifting them off is hard to do alone.

Earl Jason -- that's just the 'Getting Started' manual, not a service and parts manual.

How can do I collimate Jason Statesman Binoculars no 165?

Take them apart, and see what has come adrift? The bottom optics unscrew from the body. The prisms are under the top covers and have screws. Keep everything in order and take pictures as you take it apart.

The is one available here on eBay.

Hi i'm trying to take apart a toshiba satellite l655-s5096 and as far as I can tell I've got all the screws but it won't release. I've ben looking for a manual but I've had no luck. If...

take all the screws off the bottom (including the screws hidden by the optical drive), turn the laptop over, open it. there is a small strip of plastic right above the keyboard, pry it loose and remove the 4 screws from underneath to release the keyboard. disconnect all the exposed ribbon cables and any other cable connector that you can see. once you've done this pick a spot on one of the edges to start prying it apart. Use a small screw driver or plastic pry tool if you need it. (on this model I started with the top right hand corner.)

They are getting a warning on the light bulb\r\nSense Key=0x4 ASC=0x680 DDES=0x7E

Hi Dana,

The error you are receiving is Flatbed Optical Alarm. This alarm occurs when the READ command for the first document is received, or when gain of the CCD amplifier is adjusted (sheet guide is read) during scanning.Probable causes are:
- The lamp, optical system or white sheet guide is dirty
- Defective lamp, heater, CCD, or inverter
- Connector disconnected
  1. Does the same symptom occur after turning OFF and ON the scanner? Check the scanner.
  2. Is the White sheet guide (glass) in the FB cover dirty? Remove the FB cover and clean the White sheet guide (glass).
  3. Is the Optical unit dirty? Are cables damaged? Are the connectors connected properly?Check all.
  4. Do the Lamps FB light up?Are cables damaged? Are the connectors connected properly? Check if the lamps light up during the Paper feeding test.If not, the error is caused by the defective Lamp FB or Inverter.
Hope the above information is helpful.

Thanks & regards,
ScanCare

I have a mitsubishi WD-52825 52" with a green blinking timer light. I've been told it has bad capasitors on a couple of boards inside, but I can't figure out how to get the componets out...

As a service tech, I would never guess with a case like this. My professional opinion is to have it properly diagnose by a professional. MIT's have been known for optical light engine problems along with power supply issues. This is like trying to cut hair over the phone. Any suggestions might be a waist of your money. Please have a tech come to your home and have it done right.

Fujitsu fi 4750c scanner error

Try a flatbed scan scan with the cover open.  If you see the lamp come on, it's likely a cable or CCD problem, though it can be caused by a really dirty reference strip or mirrors. I've never seen one that dirty but it's mentioned in the service manual. I have seen lost documents in the ADF unit cause backside optical alarms, but the front unit is protected from this by glass. If the lamp doesn't light, it can be a defective lamp or cable. In all these cases, you'll need a tech onsite. Disassembly of this model is difficult & reassembly is even worse. I wouldn't recommend it even if you're mechanically inclined.

you scanner has no replaceable parts in them its sounds like a board issue.
you could try to take it apart and clean the optics but i would be thinking more of a board issue
