Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

1 Answer

Deployed with the Military. PS3 is not working. I am told it is the power supply

I got deployed to the desert, I can't give a specific location, however I can say it is really hot here.

I bought an 80g PS3 before I left so I can watch movies, and have something to do while I am here at my deployment site. I hooked it up and played it for about an hour one day. I had to go in for a meeting, and came back and my PS3 no longer worked. I can't get power to it, and I don't know what is wrong. I was told it is the power supply. Can someone please let me know what to do. It's sucks being out here without something to do other then just work and catching a farmers tan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

please e-mail with any info you may have.

You have to contact sony and get a warranty repair done. If it continues to fail after you get it repaired, you are not alone.
I have contacted a law firm that is acquiring info for a possible class action lawsuit. Especially for people who live in California, but everywhere else too: Please have all of your information DOCUMENTED! Write down when your PS3 stopped working and why, whether you have a receipt or not, when or if you contacted Sony, what was the outcome with Sony, if this defect has ever happened before, and what Sony is going to do to remedy this for you. Take all the info and email it to: info@millslawfirm.com and write in the subject line "Sony Playstation 3". Additionally, if any of you are on another site or are blogging, repost this to spread the word. Good luck all!

Why is my passenger airbag doing this? I was told it was deployed. Is that true?

Does the airbag warning light come on when you turn the ignition on before starting? If so the system is working. As far as it being deployed the dash cover is destroyed when it deploys so I really doubt that it is the case, it may be just cracking from sunlight exposure over a long period of time. If it is parked outside this would likely happen or the dash was hit with a hand or other object.

Where are the airbag sensors located in a 2003 honda accord?

The sensor is usually encased in a pnuematic piston located in the front bumper. You ran over a curb? You hit the bumper, it deployed.

Locate airbag sensor

Many are mounted to the floor board under center counsel between front seats. If your airbag has been tripped you must replaces this module. They're hard to order new but I've had good success reusing from junk yard cars that haven't had bag deployed. Warning do not mess with airbag system until battery has been disconnected for at least 2 hours. I disconnect over night. These modules hold a charge with capacitors so it can activate in an accident even if battery cable is severed before bags are deployed. You must give capacitors time to discharge on their own or risk setting off the airbag by working with this system to soon. Of course this warning is only for working on systems that haven't already been set off or deployed. ie when reassembling system.

Where is the airbag sensor for the fender on a 95 monte carlo

The sensor consists of a sensing element, normally open switch contacts and a diagnostic resistor. The sensing element closes the switch contacts when the vehicle velocity changes are severe enough to warrant air bag deployment. They are located around the bumpers near the fenders. Look on the framing near the fender. I attached a picture of one.

Deployed air bags

My daughter has a "99 Saturn SC1, and she hit a curb and deployed hers. I (Many years as a mechanic) replaced both bags, the computer which is located under the center console, and the "clock spring" located behind the steering wheel to get it all working. (No air bag light on while driving) The steering wheel airbag melted the clock spring when it fired. I purchased these all used on E-Bay.

Where are the airbag sensors on a 2002 Malibu? Daughter ran off road, hit ditch & did damage to right front from headlight down....both airbags deployed...is that normal?

Hi, the impact sensors for the air bags are usually located between the headlights more or less at the lowest point of the headlights. It is possible that the air bags will deploy as the impact sensors work with vibration. If the vibration is big enough to activate the sensor the air bags will deploy.

It is underneath the center utility tray and yes it has to be replaced if air bags deployed. You should be getting a air bag light flashing a code 19. One flash a pause the nine flashes. You may have other codes also,if you reply back with what they are we can tell you what to look for.
