WUC II Washer fills, agitates and begins to spin and makes rapid clicking noises intermittently while spinning, pump is not hooked up, I checked the coupler it was intact.........
I have gearcase out, agitator out, now does the brake assembly slide out when u release the brake or is a there a clip somewhere that I'm missing? It drops down about a 1/2 inch then stops. clutch looks ok, not rusty or worn to the rivets, brake actuates funny though, seems to hang........ thabks for being through... i wish everyone was like you.. i get alot of Its not working? i hate that what does that mean... wish they were like you.. please check the harness on the motor while it is spinning.. i had that problem before... also it could be the speed selector switch.. sometimes it will get caught running 2 speeds at once and it will click like that...
checks these things and let me know if you need more assistance.... you sound like a tech.. wanna job? lol
Leaks water...check the pump first. The fill valve and hoses may be the next step. See how to take apart info. With the use of plastic drain hoses on many machines today, this has become a common leak trouble maker. The drain hose can rub the wall or a pipe and this will rub a hole in the drain hose.
It sounds like the agitator gripping teeth are worn out. To check this, take the agitator cap off with a strong knife or flat-head screw driver, pull the cap off and check the plastice teeth and four plastic hooks that grab the teeth. If they are worn out, then you will have to replace the agitator. To replace it, you will see a nut that is between the circlular teeth. Unscrew the nut and pull the agitator up hard.
if you hear the motor running while it is supposed to be agitating or spinning then it is most likely the direct drive coupling between the motor and transmission.if you already checked this and think
it is a different problem then let me know, i will help you figure it out.Mike
either you have something stuck betwwen the two tubs(ie. a sock. ) preventing the tub from free spinning.or there is a clutch mounted on top of the transmission not engaging, as far the agitator not spinning correctly sounds liek the agitaor dawgs are stripped preventing proper agitaing(bottom of agitator works fine but upper portion free spins both ways without resistance?? correct??
