My HP a1630n was working fine a few days ago & now it does not even turn on - no fan - no motor, nothing. I tried a different power supply & still nothing. Any clues/suggestions??

Hello,

Try taking out your battery, and then use your power adapter! I just went through this myself.

Your battery may be drained? If your power adapter doesn't work, than you can purchase a universal one, or use the the other you tried. But your battery needs to be out to test this.

My battery was okay, but power adapter was bad...they go bad out of blue for no reason at all! It's fine to use a different power adapter.

Kind regards!

Laptop stuck logging off. Not responding to

Hello there:
If you first hold down the power key for 10 seconds the computer will turn off and then wait for 30 seconds and then turn on the computer it should start back up and you might come up to the black screen that says start windows normally or it say last good configuration that worked select that and press the enter and you should be ok from there
I hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Laptop Not Power on Battery Mode

I understand that while the laptop is connected to the power supply it's ok, and while it boots up, even with the cord disconnected, it stays on but only briefly, but after a while, it shuts itself down?
If this is so, it would appear that your battery is dead and needs replacing. Your laptop will still work, as long as it's connected to its power supply. It should even work with the battery removed, provided it's plugged into the adapter.
