I left the tv on when I stepped out for a few minutes and it was working fine. When I returned home there was sound but no picture, same is true when I tried the DVD player. However the tv setup & menu screens are visible and work just fine. Any suggestions?

Same exact problem but with no sound on Hitachi Projection. Have changed cable connectino, outlets, unplugged TV for 24 hours to reset. Sometimes works, sometimes not.. Appears random.
Suggest a new solution for this problem
