I also have the same b&w problem on my desktop. My resolution is set @ 800 x 600 @ 60hz (only option). I have a 7300 GT graphics card and windows xp. It used to work perfectly, but had to format my pc and now just b&w. I've even looked in my bios but can't find anything. It is a PAL tv.

Never tried an adapter before .
likely the color signal is just too low or missing in the adapter mixer circuit.
just be certain that you have the display set for 60hz refresh rate in you display properties/adapter

I have black and white lines running down the screen after I connected it to internet. How do I get rid?

Could be a lose cable, Check the cables connecting to the monitor (screen) and the to PC.

Also, made sure your phone or any other electronic device(s) aren't in close proximity to the screen. They sometimes cause interference.

Changed tvs and now the player plays dvds in black and white. I never unplugged the red white and blue cables from the player.

You've got the cables plugged in wrong at the TV end. The green plug is the luinance conductor or the black and white signal, and yyou have it right, but the red and blue are wrong. Check your connections again and make sure all the connections are amde on the same input (comp1, comp2...), and not crossed over such as green plugged into comp 1, and red and blue plugged into comp 2.
Good luck.

Hello, Currently I have Vaio laptop connected to my Vizio 42" inch flat screen TV. There's no audio coming from my Vizio TV. So I connected an audio cable connected to the stereo jack. Where do I connect...

You need a 1/8 in cord on both ends. Normally, its an 1/8 inch audio connection in your tv to work with PC (the same connection as when you plug it in your comp) So u would need a wire that both ends are 1/8 inch (Headphone jack sized)

Samsung hdtv to compaq pc

There should be a setting within the comp. Is it connected to the comp monitor and the tv? Perhaps from the comp to the tv with the monitor from the comp as well? Well if so, you may need a certain setting within the comp. Check under (on xp) display properties, and then under the settings tab. Please rate!
