Question about Kenmore 73502 / 73504 / 73509 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
We recently acquired a kenmore elite trio with ice and water in the door. Model number 795.77573600 from our renters who could not move it with them when they left. My husband laid it on its side to move it to our house. I know this is a big no no but he had already done it by the time I saw it. We let it sit upright overnight before hooking it up. I can hear the sound of the water trying to fill up but nothing comes out. I have removed the filter and still nothing. The hoses are not blocked. The water lines were working perfectly on our other refrigerator before we hooked this one up. Any ideas?
The water inlet solenoid valve orifice may be plugged. Locate the water solenoid valve where you connected the water line to. Shut off the water and then check this orifice and screen.

If the freezer does not work it is often the thermostat starting the cooling process that is faulty.
Try first to defrost completely, to see if this unjam the thermic sensor, if it does not work you will need to replace the thermistor.

there are 3 ways it can be held on,screws,snaps,clips or slides one way up or down or side to side,to make sure what you have get the model number from inside the frig. ,go to sears .com click on parts put in your model number and your whole frig diagram will come up and you will see exactly how it comes apart,let me know how you do-mike

It appears your door switch has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
