It just quit. Model 111409-01 6" electric pole saw..remington
6" elec.pole saw..remington. Have used it 3 times and it quit. The motor is not frozen..i think it's the handle that activates the saw. Can I get a new part for it?

Parts for these machines are not being manufactured any more as the company has ceased operations. Search the internet for companies that advertise these parts--you may get lucky! On the motor--check the brushes as they seem to fail often. Good luck!

Remington Pole Saw Carbon Brushes
If you're Remington Pole Saw is slowing down, throwing sparks, or not starting you may need to replace the carbon brushes. Replacing brushes and cleaning commutator early can prevent damage to motor armature!

Parts for Remington saws are few and far between. Brushes are a common failure point and those available have about been bought up. You best chance is to check with a well-stocked hardware store or an electric tool repair shop for a similar brush from a different tool. You may have to modify something similar to fit. Good luck!
Remington saw has gone out of business, and finding parts can be a hit or miss experience. Motor brushes in particular are quite rare, so you need to be resourceful in finding a similar brush used in other small tools. Visit a small tool repair shop or check with Ace Hardware (our local store has a whole display box of various sized brushes). If you do find something, buy more because these saws seem to eat brushes for lunch! Good luck!
Remington Saws have ceased operations and, unless you like to make your own replacement parts, they are prone to failure. The gearbox is sealed and the motor brushes are not available anywhere. Look elsewhere!
