1. Check out the ink cartridge, it might be blank.
2. Reset Your Printer:

  • Remove power supply
  • Leave it for few min.
  • Then re-connect.
And try again

Thanks
Iqbal

Did you changed the ink cartridges?

Check first that is not just a cartridge problem, eventually replacing them. if they are not empty , they could have dried up.

If it is not a cartridge problem you may need to re install the drivers from your printer diskkd. If you do not have the cds, you will need to download the drivers. To reinstall
    Disconnect the printer from usb.
Remove the printer from 'installed printers' in Windows.
Insert the printer cd, or start the downloaded drivers.
Plug back the printer only after reinstalling software, or when required by setup program.

Finally, if all the above did not work (you can try couple of times with drivers, just in case), it may be a problem with the hardware. An head may need to be cleaned or replaced. In this case you may consider contacting a service.

Canon i9950 inkjet printer, keeps showing paper jam even though nothing there. If I turn it off and on, it prints anything from 1 to 4 pages before error message paper jam again. Just going round in...

Maybe it's just one small paper.
If it's on guarantee, take it to store, and describe the problem like this:

"Cant print. Don't know whats going on!"

So they don't charge you ;)

If it's out of guarantee, try to open all parts until you see the small paper.

Or it could be the sensor (piece of plastic) that was jammed, or get jammed when paper pass. Take a good look on that too.

Ip6700d won't print

Dear sir arthur,
Paper feed problem is usually caused by broken sheet feeder unit. But if you can print nozzle check pattern successfully it seems that paper cam sensor broken so it cannot reach paper end properly.Rarely, faulty paper feed sensor may cause the same problem.

Try cleaning the nozzle using the software that came with the printer, if it's been a while since you have printed, try cleaning the head with a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol.

Paper type must be set to "Plain" to select Normal or Fast for Print Quality. Every other paper type selected will automatically set print quality to Fine (Photo).

Canon MP830 - extreme ink useage

According to a service manual for a similar Canon printer, the grayscale printing should only use the Pigment Black ink PGI-5BK.

On fast it is 300x300dpi with 1 pass, standard is 600x600dpi with 1 pass and high is 600x600 with 4 passes.

On plain paper in colour it is meant to still only use the C/M/Y and again the big pigment black ink PGI-5BK, it only uses the smaller black ink once you set it to use a photo type paper in the printing settings.

Red streak poor color

If streaking is occurring only at the bottom of the page (i.e. the last area to print as the paper is fed beneath the print head), the problem may be due to improper curl of the paper. Many inkjet printers (Canon especially), rely on a slight curl of the paper so that it is "bowed" when it travels beneath the print head.

To see if this is the problem, gently roll a sheet of paper so that the print side is on the outside of the roll. When you place the paper in the feed area, it should have a very slight bow so that the center of the print side is slightly raised off the surface, while the edges are on the surface.

Also, make sure you use only OEM (Canon) cartridges. There is not a single "compatible" cartridge in the world that won't screw up your Canon print head. Take my word for it (and I DON'T work for Canon), you must use only Canon cartridges.
