Can you tell me where the wireless switch is on the above named laptop?
I've been having the exact same yrouble with my Easynote E4 laptop and have just fixed it.
in the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard theres a key with Fn written in blue, hold this down and press F1it should beep and the 'wireless lan connection indicator' in your system tray the red cross will disipear then you will pick up wireless!

Some have a little slide switch on the side.

Try also Fn+F1 if there is not a hardware switch present.
