Default boot order for emachine laptop 732

Step 1:
All computer systems go through a set of instructions called the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) when they are turned on. The BIOS checks all of the hardware and software installed on the computer to make sure they are working properly before loading the operating system. You may need to access the BIOS menu periodically to find out the current version of the BIOS you have if there are upgrades available. The command you use to access the BIOS settings on an Emachines computer will vary depending on the specific model you have.

Access the Start menu and click "Shut Down." Select the "Restart" option. Wait for the Emachines logo to appear on the screen as the computer begins booting up again. Press the "Tab" key when the logo appears and see if the computer switches to the BIOS menu. Press the "Escape," "Delete," or "F2" keys if the "Tab" key doesn't take you to the BIOS menu screen. Use the right arrow key to highlight the "Main" entry and press Enter. Scroll down to the heading labeled "BIOS version." Check the long string of numbers and letters under the "BIOS version" heading to locate the current BIOS version your Emachines is using. Press the "F10" key to exit the BIOS menu screen and finish booting up the computer's operating system.

Is an emachine boot disk W2828 compatible with compaq presario desk topS4000v series?

No.

When Windows is put on a computer it assigns hash values to certain major hardware components;

1) Processor
2) Motherboard chipset
3) BIOS program, version, and date
4) Harddrive
5) Graphics chipset

Instead, I would like to post that you can get the Restoration Disk, for your Compaq.

THE disk.

On the back of the desktop is the Serial Number in a white Service Tag. S/N = Serial Number
Only give this to an authorized HP representative.
(HP bought out Compaq)

In the US the disk is free.
The shipping and handling is not.

$17 for a 5 to 7 day ship, $24 for a 2 to 3 day ship.
Call 1-800-474-6836
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Write the Serial Number down to give to the nice representative.

Outside the US,

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

After you install the Restoration Disk in the computer, and when asked, choose Repair. (Non-Destructive Installation)

EMACHINES T3522 Message "ENTER PASSWORD TO UNLOCK SYSTEM" ON STARTUP

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T3522 Chat with a tech. I think a system password has been set by someone. Most probably a bios / HDD password. So you need to know that to boot. Bios reset may do the trick (by removing cmos battery). But you have to set the settings back to normal in BIOS. But if you have encrypted data you may harm them. (Rarely).

I NEED TO MANUALIE SET UP THE BIOS IN EMACHINE

When you first start the computer press the f 8,(that is the key most use to get into the bios). Set everthing to the default except the drive sequence which you want the cd first. If I am not correct, then  go to the support webpage and downlad the manual.
