Depending on model,,, a top loading machine does not require as much reinforcemnt as does a front loader. i would overbuild it with many 2x4 supports and 5/8 to 3/4 plywood.. you want it to be REAL stable..

Maytag washing machine is not getting clothes clean

You may try using a good detergent, check the cycles for accuracy, and look at the hoses for any clogged material causing a backup in the lines.

MY WASHING MACHINE HAS STARTED PUTTING TINY HOLES IN T-SHIRT/JERSEY MATERIAL GARMENTS, WHAT CAUSES THIS?

It could be any one of the following:-
Unfastened zippers hooks or buckles
Incorrect use of Chlorine bleach - do not pour bleach directly onto fabric
Ribs, tears or broken threads. Fix garments before washing and empty all pockets
Overloading of the machine
Fabric is showing signs of degradation.

My washer bangs and goes off balance in the spin cycle. It has been leveled and is not off balance.

Without knowing the type of washing machine that you are using I can tell you generally that:
First make sure that the washer is level. There should be leveling legs on the machine that you can screw or unscrew to level it.
And that there are several causes of this problem.

1. Load is too large for the machine. Be sure not to stuff the washer full. The items should have room to move around.
2. Items being washed are not of similar weight so that they unbalance easily (Wash jeans with jeans/knits with knits/towels with towels)
3. Items are poorly loaded (in a top loader). Distribute the items well.
4. Front loading washers on platforms with drawers, etc. are very prone to this problem. We finally took our off the drawer/ platforms and the problem went away. After a couple of service calls that helped not at all.
5. Front loaders sometimes have this problem if they are installed on a "soft floor" such as Laminate flooring. You can help this by placing a thick rubber-backed rug or a piece of plywood underneath your machine.

These are the solutions that I have learned from my own experience. I hope that these ideas help you.

I have an Ariston margherita CD12TX with water leak from a screw in the bottom of the drum. It seems that the screw does not tighten.

That might be someone's idea of a leak repair. Take the screw out, clean the hole thoroughly, then repair it with epoxy cement only. Don't use the 5-minute kind, but the 24 hour type. You can get an excellent epoxy from your appliance parts store. Be sure to mix it well before applying. Moderate heat increase will speed the setting time of the material. Hope this helps!

Repair of samsung (karisma ) washing machine

Hi,

Water draining is indicative that the drain valve is left open allowing water to escape even during regular/wash cycle and not only on drain/wash cycle completion. this could be brought about by:
1. laundry material, debris, safety pin, clips or some other foreign material has lodged itself prohibiting the drain valve in closing properly; or
2. the mechanism (solenoid) closing the valve is jammed in the open position.

Corrective measure calls for inspection and possibly cleaning or solenoid/control mechanism repair or replacement. Often these can be found at the bottom or near bottom of the machine below the tub.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

The washing machine won't spin out

kinked hose or blockage in the water pump you defininatley have material in the water pump
disconnect washer all together pull out after you drain the water by hand as far as can go use a dolly take out side drain the rest by tipping on side you might need 2 or 3 people to get the washer out with little water left when on side pull the water pump off look inside and pull material out with a pair of needle nose pliars that clamp you will need 2 people to pull out material one to hold the pump and one to pull material out with pliars

once done before you put back together do a lube on your washer with appliance oil this will insure good maintenance

what i decribed at top is the non costly way to fix your own washer if there is material stuck in water pump

Walking Washer

due to weight and normal motion during wash/spin a very sturdy floor is necessary under front loads also some floors are a little slick and sliding may occur ck for weak floor and maybe some kind ok rough cushion under feet to reduce sliding also if on pedistals even more vibration may occur be sure all screws in pedistal are secure usually 4 from top onto bottom of washer also adj legs to lower unit as close to floor as possible and tighten lock nuts

Front load washers

Not advisable to bolt down; for if there is a problem with springs, etc you will not know - for the machine is secure. And serious damage will occur while the machine remains bolted down. Your friend has a problem with her shocks or springs and requires to be looked into.
