This is a tricky little printer. Here is your fix.

When you hold down the ink button for 3 seconds, the printer will perform a cleaning cycle.

But if you continue to hold the button for 10 to 15 seconds, it will then come ove to the opening where you can access the cartridges.

Can not get the ink tray to stay so i can change the ink tx 100

Press the Ink Button on the printer and lift the lid. The ink carriage should move to the pointer to indicate the first cartridge that has gone. Press the button again, and it should move again to the next cartridge. When it has gone through all the empty units, it will move to a clear part of the printer and stay there until you replace the cartridge(s). Press the button again and it should move back and charge the heads with ink.

Remove ink cartridge

I found that the proper way to do it only worked when the ink light was flashing red. Then when I pressed the stop button it moved across and stopped beneath the marker to show which cartridge needed changing. The I pressed the stop button again and it moved to a place where I could change it.
This happened despite the fact that the pictures I was printing blatently showed that I needed to replace my ink, it wasn't until I had printed the liney pictures a few times that the printer decided the ink level was low enough to turn the flashing light on and let me change it.

Epson sx 205, can't change the cartridge

With the power on and the lid up, click on the red stop (left panel). You will notice the cartridges move to the left and then they come back and stop halfway. Afterwards you should be able to slide the cartridges manually with your hand to the larger area on the right where you could do the cartridge change. Once you've moved it to that area just the lift the cover where the arrow is.
