Use a different PCI slot and reinstall the drivers for your LAN card. If this does not fix the problem there may be a compatibility issue between the network card and some other software (eg. irq conflict etc.), or the LAn card may be slightly faulty and have problems on some motherboard.
In this case you can try troubleshooting the problem.
If you cannot find out the problem at a glance, checking in device properties, you may be forced to reinstall Windows. In this case I suggest to just replace the part. The Ethernet (LAN) pci card is quite an inexpensive part, and you can still use this one on a different computer.

Hi there,

THere maybe a problem with the SATA/IDE connection.Check the connection first using another cable or try to another port. If it doesn't work, try the drive on another PC. Check for the power connection cable as well.

The internet providers technical person connected the cable and told me that your lan card is faulty so change it. my lan card is inbuilt on motherboard

Unplug your power cable; Take off your casing cover; make sure your hand is dry and clean, install your LAN Card to the right slot (Please refer to your Network Card Manual Book); Power On your PC, Press Delete at boot screen until u login the bios screen, go to the Advanced Tab on the top there, Select [Disable] for Onboard Lan; Then save & exit. You're done well! Congrat!

Hello,

A couple questions:

1) I assume you have the manual. 6BXC Manual

2) Just double checking...the BLACK boxes marked in the manual for the switches are the white switch "levers" for lack of a better term. So switch 1 should have all 4 levers up. (Toward the CPU.) Switch 2 should have the left-most lever down and the other 3 up. Are those correct?

3) The RAM modules have a max of 256MB in each slot. Is that good? (Try with only one module at a time.)

4) Does JP10 have the jumper on pins 2 and 3? (Page 16)

5) Is the battery good?

If all that is good, clear the CMOS. See page 17. Take the jumper from pins 2 and 3 and place it on pins 1 and 2 for about 15 to 30 seconds. Then place it back on pins 2 and 3. Try to reboot.

Also, what kind of graphics card are you using?

Awaiting your response.

Wayne

Hmmm.... mainly you have:
-20 or 24-pins connector, that is unique and goes directly to motherboard (powers motherboard and its components)
-4 or 8-pins connector that powers CPU
-the rest would be connectors for ROM (CD/DVD/BlueRay) and HDD devices (there are: molex and sata power conectors)

If you totaly unshure, there is manual:

Gigabyte GA-8INXP Motherboard Problem- front connector pins

If the wires from the reset switch is white/blue the blue wire is positive, Hdd red/white red is positive power Green/white Green is positive etc. The wires on the speaker connector will be red/black/black/white - red is positive. The colored wire is always positive. On all GA mb's the positive connection is always towards the back of the MB and are marked with a + on the base of the pin as you can see on the photo. Hope this help.

I recommend that you formatt your HDD to a FAT32 system probably by using another pc then you should also ensure that your bios is setup for the appropriate operating system. maybe just download the appropriate bios files off the gigabyte web site.
