Most universal remotes have a "Code search" function. Try that and see if it works.

Hope that helps...

I have a Samsung TV, and am trying to sync my remote with DVD player (Sony) only there is no set button on remote.please help Samsung model #hlp5063wx/xaa

If you have a Samsung remote and it is capable of controlling other devices, you should be able to find out how by referring to the TV instructions. The remote is not used to "sync" anything; it generates codes to control other devices.

I have a samsung hd841 dvd player. i need tv codes so i can program the samsung remote control to be able to use tv with same remote. thanx

Unless your Samsung remote is programmable, you have this backwards. If your Emerson TV remote is programmable, you need to use it to control both your TV and your Samsung DVD player

My dvd remote control, turn on and off the tv but not the dvd, so i need to know how to change back to just to operate the dvd, (samsung digital home cinema system) thanks,

hi,
Press the DVD button on the top of your remote to operate it with the dvd player. You remote is multi purpose on you can use it for controlling Samsung DVD and TV. When you press the DVD button it will change to the DVD remote state. When you press the TV button then it will change as remote for the TV. So if yo want to operate DVD with the remote just press the DVD button and if you want to control the TV then press the TV button.
ok

Just received a Samsung BR BD-P1500 2009 model, as a gift. No one code for the remote control work for my Panasonic Viera TC-L37D2 bought in 2010. Samsung "assistance" told me that my BR is too...

Unfortunately, Samsung tech support was accurate. Most universal remotes (and the portion of the remote programming to control other devices is the same program) only have codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed.

However, any universal remote that is newer than the TV (by that 6 month programming period) should control both devices. Low end universal remotes may not support all of the features of either the TV or the Blu-ray player. The remotes that can be programmed via a USB connection to a computer are the fastest to set up. (Alternatives: You can use both remotes when watching a movie or get a Viera link Blu-ray player that is compatible with the TV. For the second option, you need a device with the HDAVI Control (not above Control 5) connected via a good HDMI cable)

I wish that I had better news.

I need the remote control code for this unit to program into my TV remote

The Code you are looking for is 422. It is hard to find since it is listed only under DVD players and not combo players.

Need code for Viore TV to program LG RC897T DVD/VHS Recorder

I believe Viore is the same as Samsung. I only noticed this by accident as I bought a Viore TV and my friend bought a Samsung and I noticed both remotes were identical. I tried the Samsung codes and the remote worked. Good luck! Kevin

Remote interacting with TV

According to my manual the codes for Samsung TVs are 31, 32 or 43.

Press and hold the TV on and off switch button.
Enter the two-digit code for your television set (while holding the TV power on the remote)
