Need some info: how much memory do you have, and is your processor a dual-core?

Some unscrupulous manufacturers cleared out a bunch of M-processors with only 512 MB RAM with Vista as the OS. Most people agree that you will have prolonged headaches because Vista just will cause you one problem after another, particularly with slowness, unless you have at least 1 GB of RAM, and you will certainly need 2 GB if you dont have dual-core (most recommend 2GB with dual core, as well.

My oulook file is now 20GB big and getting slow I have to keep all email but they need to be accessable (not an hour hour process) please help Where do I get FREE trainig to be better with outlook please?...

The simple way to minimize your outlook DATA is to move the older e-mails in Archive folder.
Every month you can move your more than 1 month old emails to Archive folder and they can be accessable from your outlook even though they will not utilize the Outlook space.
To know how to use the Archive Feature on Outlook please refer website mentioend below.

Outlook 2007 upgrade freezes on startup

You say that you have upgraded to Outlook 2007 from Outlook 2003; were you using any personal folders (.pst) in Outlook 2003?

If the asnwer is yes; then were these personal folders created in Outlook 2003 or some earlier version of Outlook? In any case, if the older type personal folders are large in size, these can cause Outlook 2007 to stop responding or freezing.

Close Outlook 2007; right click on the Outlook icon showing in the startup programs bar and choose properties; choose 'Show Profiles'; choose copy profile and then choose this new profile in the 'Always use this profile' option.

Outlook 2007 should now work fine.

Do you use Forms or Advanced features at all?

This site has information that will generally solve most issues:

The first thing to try to fix this problem is to run office diagnostics.
It can be found in Help->Office Diagnostics.

If this doesn't fix the problem. You can try this link for more solutions.

No, Business Contact Manager isn't only for networked PC's, but can be used on a stand-alone system. It is a rather large database program, but will increase the number of modules running in the background when you have Outlook running. If your PC slowed to a crawl, it sounds like the only fix needed is RAM. If you have at least 2Gb of RAM, it should run fine, but will still slow Outlook. I have a 3 gigahertz CPU and 3Gb of RAM, and it slows mine noticeably, so I un-installed it. I didn't find it to be at all useful.

Outlook 2007 slow on closing and crashes on open

Your computer might be using caching. Can you tell me how much RAM you have on your computer? If you have 2GB of RAM i would recommend disabling the caching. This slows down the system quiet a bit (since it uses miliseconds instead of nanoseconds). Your computer is as fast as the slowest component.  I would also suggest defragging the drive.
