Most likely your hand is touching the touchpad and moveing the mouse and eventually clicking (this can be done by taping the touchpad) I suggest while your typeing on your laptop to turn your touchpad off, its a combination of 2 buttons FN (function) and a F1-F12 key, look around, there should be small images on your f1-12 keys. but Fn+F7 should work on your acer to disable and enable the touchpad.

If you need more asistance, let me know. Good luck.

When I am typing my keyboard will jump back to any line or area in a previous sentence

Place a piece of thick card over the touchpad. This problem is frequently caused by a stray palm or thumb touching the touchpad whilst typing.

I purchased a ACER laptop last April. My problem am typing a sentence the curcer jumps backwards and starts typing in the middle sentence.

This is probably a software issue, I would reload the program you are typing with (e.g.Word) and try again OR it could be your palm resting on the touchpad causing this to happen, I always disable mine when typing (normally to do this you use the 'F' or function key (coloured blue or red etc) along with appropriate key on the top row.

Keyboard problem- cursor keeps jumping around when I'm typing

You may be inadvertently touching the touch pad with the side of your hand or fingers as you type OR the touch pad itself is bad and needs replacement.

While im typing, my curser skips back into the middle of my sentences, and i have to retype my whole sentence again...what is causing this to happen and how can i fix, thank you

if it is the same thing that happens to me you need to shut off your touchpad (mousepad) when you are typing as your fingers or palms cause the curser to jump if you touch it while typing

Keyboard Cursor Jumping

I have been having the same problem for some time now with my Acer laptop and windows vista.
What worked for me was changing a Mouse setting in the Control Panel.
Go to Control Panel -> Mouse. Then go to the "Tapping" tab and make sure that the "Tap off when typing" box is Checked
