Question about Kenmore 45981 Washer
We have done all the steps to change the door lock and now we are getting an F 14 Error code. Please help! Thanks.
"F14" is an EEPROM error. This can indicate a failure of the CCU (central control unit). This is usually generated by a faulty chip on the CCU itself. Kenmore recommends unplugging the unit for at least two and trying it again as this could simply be a glitch. If this does not correct the problem, double check all your connectors.
Post back and let me know what you find.
PS The CCU is the main control board located in the center of the washer just above the wash tub in the back. You will need to remove the top of the washer to access it. The top comes off by removing three screws in the rear and sliding the top back, then lifting it off.
