Question about PDAs

I have lost all the written information that came with the unit when I purchased it two years ago, but never used because I had a stroke and could barely remember my name, I need to replace all written instructions so I can finally use this unit.

I need instructiuons on how to use the this unit. I have read portions of the operating system that you referred to, but it does not answer my questions as to how do I use it and what acceseries do I need to purchase to make using this unit the way I want to. Where can I purchase the hard manuals for it?

Palm PDA Manuals

You see, all that was left from the old Palm devices (had a Tungsten W myself, back in '04!) was acquired by HP some years ago, and they seem to have gathered all the informations available into this page. Just click on your device's name in order to be redirected to its respective section.

Really hope it might be useful to you, somehow.

Anyway, please, let me know if you need further informations.

Regards,
Carlos

Both PalmOne E2 Units No Power

Your problem is more common than you think. Especially being a potential battery issue. Can you say a bad case from factory. Go to EBAY and order 2 more batteries. You are lucky they plug in.

I lost the password and need to reset it. Please help.

I contacted Sharp Tech support who told me to:

Touch the reset button on the back of the unit. The display will show "RESET?"

Touch the 2nd tab on the front of the unit.

Touch ENTER

This will reset the unit to factory settings. All information will be lost, but you will be able to use the unit again. I did this and it worked beautifully.

Lost information with no backup file

I'm sorry to say that it is likely completely gone.

I've never heard of a Blackberry recovery service. Perhaps send an email to RIM (Research In Motion) and ask? If your BB came from your company (as opposed to a personal plan) perhaps your IT department can help?

One other thought: If you are using the BB at work and it's hooked up to a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) then at least your email, calendar and address data _might_ be stored on the server. Ask your IT department.

Nothing on the screen

HI I am sure 100% your LCD Liquid Crystal Part has been bleeding and cracked due to free fall impact. Only thing you need to do is to replace the LCD. Please view the link below for detail of how to open the housing and replace the LCD. Since this is a Candy bar-like unit so it is easy to replace the lcd than a flip-style cell phone which is much tougher. Here is the links: 1) http://www.formymobile.co.uk/3230lcd.htm 2) http://uselessinfo.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/dismantle3230.htm 3) http://uselessinfo.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/explodenok3230.htm I hope thses information will help you how to operate the disassembly the housing of your phone. The LCD is on sale at Ebay.com like the link below: http://cell-phones.search.ebay.com/3230_LCD-Screens_W0QQcatrefZC6QQcoactionZcompareQQcoentrypageZsearchQQcopagenumZ1QQfgtpZQQfposZ94039QQfromZR2QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ2QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQlopgZQQsacatZ50330QQsadisZ200QQsaprchiZQQsaprcloZQQsargnZQ2d1QQsaslcZ2QQsbrftogZ1QQsofocusZbs Good Luck and if you need any further help, please feel free to email me at joe_dao2003@yahoo.com.

Activesync

Do you have it set up where the computer file always overrights the pocket pc files? If you do it would result in losing all information input on the PDA. Typically you would set it so that the last version overights the prior version. That way updates on the computer overight the PDA's old info and vice versa. The only time there is an issue is when both are updated before syncing, then you are prompted which to use. That's the first think I'd check.
