Where can I find instructions on how to disassemble a ViewSonic VX2235WM monitor? My monitor turns on but has stopped sending a picture to the monitor. I think the picture tubes (if that is what they call them, still) are the problem and need to be replaced
Here is a link to a repair guide that shows how to dis-assembly the unit and that what to look for any replace on the power supply board to repair most problems on the VX2235wm monitors. The repair guide has pictures and videos showing the procedures.

Picture tube is not major problem. It is the main board, having damaged capacitors, could be more then 1. Other components to look at is, high voltage tranisitor, which gives up in most cases. Most cases in my career, i found that monitor tubes are good, unless the are dropped. So resolder the main board and check out for the components i mentioned. Careful while repairing, it has high voltage, take all precaution while openining the panel. Unsrew all the screwsat the back, also the stand, take a flat screw driver and lever the panel from one end till you open all the 4 sides. Thanks, and don't giveup.

Hi Buddy...Thank you so much for the information you've provided to fix the Viewsonic VX2235WM monitor. The monitor in question, slightly outdated and far past its useful life is currently enjoying a cooling down period while providing quality, affordable, and gently used replacement parts for other, older model Viewsonic monitors, as it enters its golden years in style, courtesy of the
'Shadey Pines LCD Monitor Rest Home' situated near a local electronics fixit shop somewhere in a city near you. It has been replaced by a more updated Samsung 32" Class (31.5" Diag.) LED 4000 Series TV which also doubles as a monitor for my desktop PC. I appreciate your time.
Thanks,
