I get the same error message with OS10.5. But the libnit file isn't in library and there is no Dimage folder in the library

Try deleting a file called MFSLibInit which the scanner sometimes seems to erroneously create when you launch the software. The file will appear in the dimage folder (you'll find that folder in the preferences folder within the library folder). Then re-launch. This solved the problem on my powerbook but I now have a new MacBook pro and am having the same problem and this is not solving it. Good luck.

Why won't Minolta film Scanner work with iMac and OSX 10.6.2?

Hi
I bought a secondhand, nearly new Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400 a few years ago but never tried to use it until now when I tried to get it to work with my iMac running OSX 10.6.2. I uploaded the Dimage software but I cannot get it to recognise the scanner - any suggestions? Do I need to get updated drivers?

Just got an imac it moves so fast... and now so slow

There must have been ad-ware and spy-ware that was install behind the scenes while you surf those sites. I would recommended that you do a virus scan. You may also try to remove any toolbar from your browser and do not install software from unknown manufactures.

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV Film Scanner driver in an IMac

DS Dual 4 even works with SnowLeopard on a CoreDuo MBP. But it doesn not support Autofocus when used under USB2. You have to use a USB1.1 Port, if you want to use autofocus function. Every time the software crashes, because you tried e.g. to use autofocus with USB2, you will have to close the application, go to the folder User/Library/Preferences/DS Dual4/... and look whether there is a file name something like "MFSlib...." and pull it to the trash bin. You can start the application again. PS.: Your keyboard USB port is a USB 1.1 port!

Can't start up Konica Minolta Elite 5400 II

This problem usually occurs when the scanner software crashes, or the scanner is turned off in operation, or the computer is shut down before you quit the software, etc.
The K-M driver software gets corrupted.
I use mine with a Mac G3 Tower and OS-X v 10.4.9.  What I do is search for all the Konica-Minolta components using OS-X spotlight and then delete them.  After reinstalling the K-M driver software and restarting the mac, the scanner should work fine.
