Hitachi CP-X960 Shutting Down

Hello. I have just replaced the bulb and reset the lamp timer. The projector starts up fine and then after about 5 minutes, the lamp turns off and the Power and Lamp indicator lights turn red. I have double-checked the lamp timer and it is at 0. Is there anything else I should be checking before sending it out for service?

Many Thanks,
Jason

How do I reset the lamp timer on a Hitachi CP-X960 projector?

From a previous question on this site:

After switching on, on the main unit press reset button and left button at same time. After a few seconds text at the very bottom of the display will show something like LAMP (1751). then release and select the same two buttons again, and then again (I think) and the LAMP (0) should appear and it is reset. if this sounds a little vague its because this is what I remember doing as I was trying different things out on my cp-x960. To replace a bulb in the Hitachi CP-S235 LCD Projector, do I just unscrew the two screws under the plate underneath the machine? Are there any precautions I should take, like not handling the bulb? I have...

Yes to replace the lamp you need to remove the 2 screws. You can touch the lamp but I try not to. After the lamp is in you need to reset the hr timer for the lamp. to do this you need to look in manual on page 34.
If you do not have the manual you can get it here at link below.

Resetting the air filter timer

If you do not have a remote here is how to reset the filter time. Use the "Menu" bottun to get the "easy menu" to display. Push the down arrow until you get to "Filter Time," then push and hold the RIGHT arrow to reset the filter time. DO NOT try to reset using the "Reset" option on the easy menu, it will not work.

Hi there

In your Menu options there is a subfolder where it either reads lamp or lamp timer.

Scroll down to it and hold down you right or left arrow key on the Projector for a couple of seconds.

Hello Wardens wife

What you want to do is go to the advanced menu, find the filter time and using the remote hold down reset button for 3 seconds or so while the filter time is selected. This will bring up a reset menu and reset the timer.
