Question about Honeywell Electronic Programmable Heat/Cool Thermostat - CT3300A100 Heater

1 Answer

Went from Analog thermosat to a Honeywell 5000 series Digital Thermostat. Worked fine all winter. Now, when I put it on Cool it pushes out Heat. This is a Trane Heatpump.

Look to see if you have it wired correctly with the o terminal be used and then check to see if you have a jumper wire between the Y and W terminal on the Base of the tstat where you hooked all the wires up.

I have a Honeywell RTH6580WF Wi-Fi Thermostat that has "Cool On" or "Heat On" flashing in an endless loop. Could there be a major issue?

Pull the power red wire off the thermostat and batteries out if it has battery backup, then reinstall...much like a computer restart. If this doesn't work, then replace your thermostat.

Honeywell RTH2310b thermostate - my thermostat worked just fine through the winter with the heat but now it won't kick on the central air. I have tried switching the yellow(cool) and the white(heat) to...

You can check your float switch, power to both the air handler and outside condensing unit and ensure power is present, also check control voltage from transformer ensure 24Volts on secondary side. If you are not comfortable around electricity though I recommend you call your A/C Contractor for safety reasons.

Further information would be needed to further diagnose your problem.

Cool air not working with honeywell Model # RTH230B

Do you have a heat pump? If so, not compatible. What i did was move the jumper on the thermostat (RH RE). This is on the inside of the thermostat - NOT the red jumper!!! and got the AC working (the heat had already worked during the winter, problem only became apparent when I needed to use AC). I may have to change the jumper again when the season changes...not sure yet.
