Can I retrieve the radio code with the Odyssey vin number? The code is not in the glove. I do not have the manual.

No, the stereo unlock code cannot be retrieved with the VIN.

You can get the unlock code for free from any Honda Dealer. You will need to give them the stereo serial number from the back of the stereo or written on a card (or possibly the manual) provided when the vehicle was new. If the dealer removes the stereo to retrieve the serial number they will charge around $100.

DANGER: Do not try to enter the code randomly! The stereo will lock out after 10 incorrect attempts.

I have a 2003 honda element and changed the battery but do not have a code to put in to get my radio to work.how do i get the code and how do you put it in.Thanks

1. First, you need make sure your stereo is off, then hold down the 1st & 6th preset buttons for the radio while turning the stereo back on.
2. A batch of 8 numbers (your stereo's serial code) will appear for about 20 seconds. Write them down.
3. Contact your local honda dealer and let them know you need the 5-digit code to unlock your stereo and then give them the 8-digit serial code you got from the 2nd step. They will give you the 5-digit code that you can then enter into the stereo by again turning on the stereo and pushing the according preset buttons.
4. The stereo will give you 10 tries before it locks you out as a saftey feature and then you will have to wait an hour or disconnect the battery and try again. Hopefully you can enter the code in fewer than 10 tries anyway.

I changed my battery in my 2004 Honda Odyssey and now i need the radio code because the radio code card was lost my VIN number is 5FNRL18994B073236

Hello,

there is no site or organization willing to give you a stereo code for free. Some amount of money will be charged in exchange for the radio code.

Radio unlock code can be gotten from the below link:

http://www.radio-code.com/

Also the process to follow in order to successfully unlock the stereo is stated in the link.

In addition this link claims to generate stereo unlock codes for free, you can give it a trail as it might work for you.

Good luck.

My battery was dead in my honda accord and know i need to unlock my car stereo.

UnfortunatelyHONDA codes are only available from the Main Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service who will connect a laptop to read the working code inside your radio`s memory chip (EEPROM)

UNLOCK CODE

There might be a sticker in the glove box to the radio code or in the back pages in the manuel. If that does not work you can call the dealer and ask them how much and if it's a crazy amount, go to www.radio-code.com Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted, let if you got your radio working again

Car stereo locked after batterie change

Contact a subaru dealer for assistance and if they need s/n off the stereo, then remove it yourself and save the diagnostics fee. If they want to charge for the code, search the web for free anti-theft code information or use radio-code.com

How do you input radio code in a 98 honda accord

Disconnect your battery for fifteen minutes, then use the stereo's preset buttons to enter the code. If you're getting a "code e" (indicating that the system is locked), I've been told that leaving the deck powered on for one hour will unlock it. Otherwise, you have to stop by a dealer to have it cleared/programmed. MOST dealers will do this for you at no charge.

Radio code for honda prelude

The code should be on top of your radio, the only thing you got to do is remove the plastic that goes around the AC controls and stereo. You can either unscrew the radio it self or the AC controls. I have done this a few times just because I misplace the code and of course I have to remove the battery cable to perform certain jobs.
