E-mail and Internet Issues after upgrading to Fireware PRO v 10.0.2

I performed the upgrade to the Fireware PRO/WagtchGuard System Manager v 10.0.2 from the 9.1.2 version. Every since I have had external e-mail problems, intermittant Internet accessability issues and WatchGuard Support is NO HELP. Is there anyone who can help?

    we have the same problem. Every morning I have to come in and reboot the router/Watchguard because port 80 traffic is being blocked. We are going to roll back to 9.x on Monday night. Two Watchguards are doing this, I can't wait for Watchguard to admit there is a problem and release a bug fix. I also cannot get the logging, report or quarantine services to start.

Now the version is 10.2.7 upgrade this version and try definitely it will work

I was running firmware 3.0.6-25 for well over two years. iphone 4 problem and iphone 5 no problem. Then all of the sudden with no changes to the environment the iphone 5 stopped working with the router....


Check the antennas make sure that they are secure and that their connection is not corroded. If you can down grade the firmware to an older version and see if that solves the problem. Also try reinstalling the firmware maybe it did not configure correctly.

Just upgrade to the IPS (instrusion prevention subscription) for your 2040 and check Prevent ALL for HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW (LOW blocks Facebook like a champ). You'll find some other services blocked as well such as Terminal Services, but you can filter individual LOW priority attacks to allow those connections in (I recommend VPN for Terminal services anyway).

I actually was looking for a way to OPEN connections to Facebook while preventing LOW priority attacks and found your post.

If you are using the firewall as the DHCP server, you may need to check the DHCP lease period on the firewall & increase it if required.

the best thing to do here is have a firmware upgrade which can be downloaded from the Linksys site. Base from experience (we have been using a lot of linksys products and currently we are using an RV016), these lock-up problems are caused by firmware problems and can be solved by firmware upgrade.

Upgrade firmware on a cisco ASA 5500 firewall


This is for the pixes, I haven't upgraded an asa yet...should be close or the same

* find latest version of code, these are usually *.bin files located on http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/pix
* confirm the flash and RAM requirements of the PIX OS software versus what the PIX has (”sho ver”)
* make sure you have a backup of the old PIX OS and PDM to the tftp server (or at least confirm the software is there)
Note: You cannot back them up from the PIX, so you will need to download them and put them on the tftp server * put in a change control form
* once change controls confirms date/time do the upgrade:
wri mem*** only if you save your configs via tftp wri net conf t ca save all copy tftp://your tftp server ip/pix635.bin flash:imageskip this if you don't use pdm copy tftp://your tftp server ip/pdm-304.bin flash:pdm *** if this is a failover pair, upgrade the other pair reboot

Unbrick my router by upgrade firmware


Either the router firmware was not for your system or the upgrade didn't take. If it just didn't take, you will have to reinstall the upgrade or reflash the upgrade manually. Your owners manual or the manufacturer's website should provide specific instructions on how to do this. Depending on the router you have you may also be able to access help information from an administrators screen if it is still accessible. http//: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or other predefined address for your brand of router.
