Question about Samsung Digimax S500 Digital Camera
I can only venture a guess. For some unknown reason(s) the camera's firmware/memory has developed a fault and is displayed as an artifact in your screen. This is probably also the reason it auto shuts down.
For problems such as this, most common fix would be to do a systems reset. Some have reported that holding down the "Menu" button for at least 20 seconds seem to reset the camera. Alternately, removing the battery for an extended period of time would also perform a reset when powered back on.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
