Easiest way would be use the HDMI output from your Satellite Receiver box to your new TV. If you don't have a Satellite Receiver box at that location, you'll need to get one from your service provider.
Your TV will not interface directly with the dish - you need the equivalent of a cable box to decode the signals from the dish, select channels, etc.
There are certain conditions that must be met before you can receive a satellite reception. You can go through your manual to make sure that all the conditions are met. If all is well and it still doesn't work, comment here and i will give you further instructions on what to do
My eMap was doing the same thing. Try putting in fresh batteries and make sure you are in a good reception area. While turning the eMap on, hold the on button and the ESC button at the same time until the system is on. It will ask if you want to reset. I opted for yes. My eMap started working again!
It fixed my garmin Nuvi 660:
With the unit off press firmly on the upper left hand corner of the screen with the tip of your finger.
2. Press the power button.When you see the screen light up let go of the power button but continue to press on the upper left hand corner of the screen until you receive the message "Do You Really Want to Start Up In Maintenance Mode?"
3.Say Yes and then select the third Option "Clear All User Data" and then say Yes.
4.The unit will then start up and ask you to set some preferences.
5.Once the unit is on the Main Menu please sit it in a safe place outside with a clear view of the sky for about 10 minutes and let it lock on to the satellites.
I checked on this website and you can get the manual for that model number which is a GE sattelite system at the sight I posted for $10.99 I talked to a tech there and they put it on the first page for you. After you purchase the manual they e-mail it to you very quickly
